Company History
In 1981, Eagle Electric started as a small electrical contractor in the Denver Metro Area. We started in a home garage with a station wagon and a roll of dimes to make phone calls. Over the years, contractor relationships were built and the company began to grow. Soon we added a couple field electricians and the station wagon turned into a van or two. A few years later, we moved into an office warehouse in central Denver. Fast forward to the present and we have a core group of electricians, office staff and a fleet of vans. Currently Eagle Electric employs 21 staff. Eagle Electric offers high quality electrical services, installations and design builds to commercial and industrial customers.
Over the course of 40+ years some things have stayed the same. We are still a family owned and operated business. We still pride ourselves in maintaining strong contractor relationships as well as making sure our employees are taken care of and not just another number.
Meet Our Team
Johnny Smith
President/Estimator
Johnny has over 55 years of experience in commercial electrical installations and design build/design assist. Johnny started Eagle Electric out of his garage and station wagon in 1981. Over the years it has grown to a fully capable electrical contracting company. Johnny is currently our Chief estimator.
Justin Smith
Vice President/Estimator/Project Manager
Justin joined Eagle Electric in 1995, spent 4-years earning a degree in electrical trade school, ultimately earning his master electrical license. Justin has grown up in the industry with experience in all aspects of commercial, residential and industrial projects. Justin is currently responsible for estimating, design build, purchasing, and day to day operations.
Mitch McCormick
Estimator / Project Manager
Mitch started his electrical career with Eagle Electric in 2003. Beginning as a new apprentice, he completed 4-years of schooling at IEC receiving 4-straight years with the top student award. After a number of years in the field Mitch was brought into the office. Currently he is responsible for estimating, purchasing, submittals, closeout documents and manages the company’s safety program.
Laura Peterson
Office Manager
Laura has been with Eagle Electric since 2004 and has 30+ years of experience in various aspects of the electrical industry. Laura is involved in a wide variety of the company’s operations, including day to day accounting, HR administration and general office management.
Jeremy Eklund
Project Manager
Jeremy joined Eagle Electric in 2013 bringing with him experience in all aspects of the trade. While Jeremy was in the field he ran projects for us up to $750,000.00 bringing them in on time and on budget. Jeremy holds a journeyman’s license and is currently a project manager. He manages the majority of our day to day operations, including scheduling, purchasing and change orders.
